Why it is on a Solana calendar

Solana Armenia has run four meetups in three years — October 2023, July 2024, February 2025, July 2026 — and on 11 October its calendar still had nothing on it for the rest of the year. DigiTec is the one date the Armenian technology year is organised around, and the Web3 people who fill those meetups spend three days of it in the same building: the Web3 Armenia Foundation exhibited in 2023 and again in 2024, and in October 2025 Gavin Wood came to a DigiTec Ecosystem Talk on his first visit to the country. If you want to find the Armenian ecosystem in one room this year, this is the room.

What 2026 is about

The banner for this edition is “The World's New AI Hub”, and the programme is built around what the organiser calls the five layers of the AI value chain: energy, chips and compute, infrastructure and data, models and training, and applications and tools. Armenia is pitched as a country with all five present at home, and the headline number is Firebird and NVIDIA's plan to reach 100,000+ GPUs by the end of 2027.

Who is on stage

The speaker list now names people rather than promises them: NVIDIA's Rev Lebaredian, OpenAI's head of compute Suren Arutyunyan, Mozilla's CTO Raffi Krikorian and Revolut's head of AI research Anton Repushko among them. At a press conference on 23 September, UATE's executive director Edita Ghazaryan put the line-up at around 80 confirmed of 150 expected speakers, and said that teams from OpenAI, Mozilla and NVIDIA will run workshops. Those go on the 150-seat DigiHub stage; keynotes are on a 600-seat Main Stage, and the OpenTalks.AI community has a hall to itself for a whole day.

The session closest to money

On Sunday 22 November — the 33rd anniversary of the Armenian dram — the main stage holds a panel with representatives of the Central Bank of Armenia. Its subject has not been announced. It is still the nearest the published plan comes to payments, and the one a builder working on money in Armenia would plan the last day around.

Getting in

The expo floor is free, with registration. The Conference & B2B Pass — Main Stage keynotes, DigiHub workshops, matchmaking and the Deals Lounge — is sold separately, and its price is not on the pass page. Around 70 start-ups are expected in the start-up exhibition, which has a track of its own, and B2B meetings are arranged through the event's app.

The rest of the weekend

DigiTec has run since 2005, begun by the late Karen Vardanyan; by the organiser's count the 2025 edition drew more than 30,000 visitors, 200+ exhibitors and participants from 30+ countries. On the middle day, Saturday 21 November, DevFest Armenia fills the American University of Armenia with a developer conference of its own.

What is not confirmed yet

The full agenda. There is no blockchain track on paper and nothing here promises one — but the start-up exhibition, the B2B zone and the central bank's panel are where a Web3 conversation would happen if it happens at all.
