Twenty-four days is not an event, it is a move. IslandDAO's fifth residency runs from 19 October to 11 November and asks developers, founders and investors in the Solana ecosystem to co-work in one place for most of a month.
The new part
For the first time the residency goes to LATAM: Florianópolis — Floripa — in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The four previous editions did not, and the organisers lead with the change rather than burying it.
What is inside the month
The published programme is a list rather than a schedule: building, feedback sessions, investor days, a hackathon, a demo day, work opportunities, fitness and wellness. The shape that implies is an accelerator with no cohort agreement — the demo day at the end is the deadline everything else runs toward.
How you get in
Registration on Luma is not registration. The listing is explicit about it: apply at islanddao.org, and only there. A residency that houses people for three and a half weeks is selecting, not ticketing.

Ask what is covered before you ask whether you qualify. Three and a half weeks in Brazil has a floor price in flights and rent whatever the residency provides, and the listing settles none of it — a demo day is worth planning around, but not on an assumption about who pays for the bed.
