Devcon chose fourteen community hubs for its Mumbai edition out of 32 proposals, and one of them is given over to AI agents. As Devcon describes it, agents already pay, trade and negotiate on Ethereum, and the Agentic Hub brings together the communities behind the open agent stack, ERC-8004, x402, account abstraction and agent security, for hands-on sessions and live competitions on all four days of Devcon 8, 3 to 6 November 2026, at the Jio World Centre.
Why it is on a Solana calendar
Because of x402, the HTTP-402 machine-payments standard the hub builds its demos on. Its own site calls it blockchain-agnostic, supporting every EVM chain and Solana, so an agent that pays for an API over x402 on Solana speaks the same protocol as the agents at the hub's chai counter. The other reason is the calendar: Solana Summit India is the day before Devcon opens.
Who it is for
Crypto people who already work with AI, and developers who build with AI and want to see what a wallet does for an agent. The organisers' promise is that within ten minutes of walking in, anyone can register an agent on the ERC-8004 registries, give it scoped wallet permissions and watch it pay for a chai with a stablecoin micro-payment. A beginners' session, agents from zero, is planned for 09:30 every day.
The programme
The organisers' sample programme runs from 09:00 to 18:00 each day, one theme a day, with the main sessions repeated so that no single slot fills up. The final schedule is set with the Devcon team, so read the days below as the plan rather than the timetable.
The competitions
Seven games run on the hub's screen all week, for glory, stickers and chai rather than money. In Vault Agent you get two minutes at the microphone to talk an agent into opening a prize box it has been told never to open. There is a prompt-injection ladder where anyone can attack anyone's defence by QR code, a haggle-off between negotiating agents, Chai-per-Second, a race to find, negotiate and pay for a chai over x402, a remittance relay from a dollar stablecoin into a local-currency one, Agent Werewolf every night, and a prediction derby scored on calibration.
Wallet exercises run on testnets by default, with wallets the hub provides, so no attendee's own money is ever at stake.
Who runs it
Community hubs are run by community groups rather than by Devcon, and they must stay educational: no single project may brand or market through one. This hub was proposed by Lena Hierzi, developer relations lead at Celo Core Co, with Solène Daviaud of Dev3pack, who co-hosted hubs at Devcon in Bangkok and Devconnect in Buenos Aires. Tracks are led by Vitto Rivabella (ERC-8004), Doris Hernandez (wallet security and account abstraction), Uttam Singh (latency and RPC), Aayush of Nethermind and Naina of Dev3pack India. Self, the identity project, is confirmed, and invitations are out to x402 contributors including Cloudflare, Mastercard and Coinbase.
Getting in
The hub is part of Devcon, so a Devcon ticket covers it: $499 in ETH or $999 by card, or $149 for residents of India. Competitions are joined by QR code, and the hub's screen is meant to be read from the aisle.
The rest of the AI week
On the evening of 4 November, NEAR's Diyas turns a rooftop into a party-game version of the same idea, with squads building a swap intent from NEAR to Solana and firing it on-chain. From the 5th, ETHGlobal Mumbai runs its hackathon in the same building.
Programme
- Day 1: the lay of the land
- What shipped and where it still breaks, a live walkthrough of registering an agent on the ERC-8004 Identity Registry, and a clinic on how 8004, x402, AP2 and ACP fit together.
- Day 2: security and permissions
- Delegating to an agent safely, with EIP-7702 delegation, session keys, spending caps and revocation; a threat-modelling round on prompt injection and key theft; and a red-team hour in which the audience tries to make a sandboxed agent misbehave.
- Day 3: payments in the real world
- An agent buys a real chai through the hub's x402 endpoint, then stablecoins and agentic FX, and an India session on what machine payments can learn from UPI.
- Day 4: reputation and trust
- The ERC-8004 reputation and validation registries, how reputation systems fail, a roadmap for the gaps, and the competition finals at 17:00.
Go on the first morning if you can. The beginners' session repeats every day, but an agent entered on day one has all four days on the competition ladder, and the finals are on the last afternoon. Day three, the payments day, is the one closest to what Solana builders ship.

The Agentic Hub at Devcon 8: questions
What is the Agentic Hub at Devcon 8?
One of the fourteen community hubs Devcon selected for Mumbai: four days of hands-on sessions and live competitions on AI agents, built around ERC-8004, x402, account abstraction and agent security.
Do I need a separate ticket for the Agentic Hub?
No. It is part of Devcon 8, so a Devcon ticket covers it: $499 in ETH, $999 by card, or $149 for residents of India.
Does x402 work on Solana?
Yes. x402's own site describes it as blockchain-agnostic, supporting all EVM-compatible chains and Solana. ERC-8004, the agent identity standard the hub also covers, is an Ethereum standard.
Is the Agentic Hub for beginners?
Yes: the organisers plan an agents-from-zero session at 09:30 every day, and the competitions are joined by QR code.
